The Racine Quarry Since the 1800's, the Racine Quarry has served the local communities and state economy as an employer and as a provider of vital construction materials that are needed to build and maintain our infrastructure and support economic growth. We are committed to being an active part of the community, a socially responsible neighbor and good stewards of the environment. Our employees produce the crushed stone materials that are needed to build and maintain the area's infrastructure and support economic growth. For example, it takes 15,000 tons of aggregate to build the average hospital or school, 400 tons to build the average home and 38,000 tons to construct just one lane-mile of a four-lane interstate highway.
Racine produces more than a million tons per year of crushed limestone, which is used to build and maintain area interstates, streets, infrastructure, houses, buildings and public projects.
Racine product has been used for thousands of projects in the area including.
The Racine Quarry and our employees are active and responsible members of the community, donating time and resources to improve the quality of life in the surrounding communities.
The Racine Quarry supports local schools, communities and charitable organizations with financial, material and time contributions. Recent community partners include: Caledonia Historical Society, St. Rita School, St. Rita Family Festival, EAA Chapter 838 of Racine and North Park Elementary School.
The employees of the Racine Quarry hold community open houses for hundreds of neighbors, conduct educational tours for hundreds of local schoolchildren, community organizations and groups and participate in many community events each year, including St. Rita Family Festival and Racine Wings and Wheels.
